Masterful Player’s Cup match

Welcome Baby Linskey!

Mixed Limited Cup moves on

By Kristine Crawford

On another weekend drive, I found myself in beautiful downtown Bellingham, WA.

The snowplows ahead of me made for a breathtaking, but scenic drive. When I finally arrived at the Waterfront Tavern, I realized it’s an historic landmark on it’s own.

Marcus, Lynne, Eric, and Danicka were representing their hometown and their first defense of the Mixed Limited Cup against Cloud 9’s Joe, Katie, Brian, and Angel, all the way up from Kent. They were determined to take the Mixed Limited Cup home with them later that day.

While the ships went about navigating the port outside the tavern’s window, the two teams kicked off the match, both shooting equally well.

Neither team had more than a two-game lead at any given time, and it was tied up after 22 games.

As the end of the match drew near, the players’ mood became more serious. Cloud 9 put together five wins in a row to give them a generous 16-12 lead. And with the stroke of one dart, Cloud 9 stripped the Waterfront of their title, the Cup, and the cash.

Watch for the action to come.
