Limited Cup stays at Ringers

By Scott Kringle

On Saturday, March 27, Ringers put up the Limited Cup to the next challenger on the list. That team would come from the Puyallup area. It would be Miles Norman, Joe Webb, Keith Shadlow, and Lee Wolf trekking to Mountlake Terrace, representing O’Henry’s Sportsbar.

When they walked in the door, they were met by the Ringer’s team of Darin Bohland, Justin Knapp, Brian Smith, and Jeff (Junior) Springer. After taking this cup from Dawson’s, Tacoma, barely a month earlier, Ringers had every intention of holding onto the cup for several months at a minimum.

Brian Smith starts off the match by telling the crowd to “Shut up”. His partner, Darin was like, “Here we go, Brian’s telling people to shut up now”.

Lee Wolf shot off the hook for O’Henry’s in game seven, hitting a White Horse and finishing up with a rating of seventeen! After fifteen games, Ringers was holding on to a ten to five lead, and Brian Smith was getting louder and louder. At one point asking a person who was on the cell phone to get off the phone and pay attention to the match. We love you Brian.

Meanwhile, Keith goes up and hits a White Horse in game sixteen. Not bad for a last-minute replacement. Lee Wolf was just en fuego!

Ringers was holding onto a twelve-six lead going into game nineteen, although O’Henrys had opportunities to take out more games than they did.

Ringer’s had something in their favor that the other team didn’t have, Danny Oberg cheering them on.

At the end of the day, it was Ringer’s maintaining the cup by shutting the door on the visiting O’Henrys team. Final score, seventeen to eight.
