JIMMY T’S BAR & GRILL; KENT, WA Thursdays at Jimmy T’s

By Ty Hughes

Thursdays after league is the time, Jimmy T’s on Kent’s East Hill is the place!

Come on, all you dart players out there, live on the edge. Just because you’ve finished your league match, doesn’t mean you’ve got to go home. Cruise on over to Jimmy T’s because DeWayne is fixin’ to run a $300 Added based on only eight teams!

The Thursday night Jimmy T’s dart crowd has been swelling as of late too! We’ve watched them go from practically no teams to an incredible 19 teams on Thursdays after league. It’s a good time for sure. Last month, Snoop came over from T-town and pressed onward to take 3rd place with the ever-lovely Rhonda. She’s a real fighter! They cashed out for $110.

In the final moments, it was Aaron Gregg out of Gig Harbor and his partner Darrell out of the loser’s bracket to play Steve Carpenter, who just became a new daddy – way to go m’man, and his weapon, Shawn in the battle of the night. High points and high stakes describe the final few games between these guys. Shawn the newcomer was sizzlin’ hot, but so was Darrell. Steve and Aaron each threw their weight around at just the right times. However, Steve and Shawn proved too tough for Aaron and Darrell, who drove through five cities to get here. Way to go guys, you kept it alive to the very end! Aaron and Darrell take Hundred seventy, while the champs finagle $210 big’ns. Not a bad night’s take.

The bar is obviously humongous. If you’ve never been to Jimmy T’s, I’d be very surprised. Under different ownership, this place has seen yesteryear and withstood time to survive as Jimmy T’s in twenty-ten! The new ownership has taken great care in renewing and generating a comfortable, clean atmosphere. The folks are nice, the service for the dart players is pretty good too. They’ve got some really good food on the menu – we like the big meaty salads.

We’ve got all the photos and even a video of Jimmy T’s event and many more on our Facebook page “Medallion”. Check ‘em out, no doubt! Plus, we just rolled out a brand new Web site with all the goods at www.themedallion.net. You’ll love the new look! Jimmy T’s is at 23803 104th Ave. SW on Kent’s East Hill. If your match is running late on a Thursday and you want to get in on the tourney, call Jimmy T’s at (253) 520-6456.
