Twenty-two teams and tons of fun last month for Flights’ monthly 10 & Under $300 Added dart shoot on July 9, 2011.
I overheard a bartender saying, “You know who makes this bar what it is?” as they pointed toward Adam Badgley, who moved briskly around the room, serving up his masterful concoctions from the kitchen. Adam gives everyone’s dinner his own personal touch, and goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are satisfied.
It’s people like this that make a world of difference at any business location. Especially where customer service is key, good people can make or break the business. Flights Pub is fortunate to have several uniquely wonderful personalities in place, including Polecat, Flights’ soundman. He still carries a torch for good, local music and musicians. This is a guy who is seriously plugged in to the music scene. He’s got some of the area’s greatest talent on speed dial, and he’s not afraid to use it.
Ray and Mary Cowles, Flights’ Dart Coordinators, and brand-newlyweds also fall into this category. They have worked their little buns off to build a dart house that rivals all others. In fact, they are excited to receive their award at Worlds for reaching the lofty status of being named the 2nd Largest Medalist Dart House!
Armando was actually seen throwing darts again, saying “I’m Baaaack Bitches!” He took some time away from the game in order to raise his daughter through her infancy. Now that she’s a robust four-year old, Armando heard the call of the dartboards and is following his heart.
Guess what’s coming to Flight’s in August? Flights and August is like peanut butter and jelly. They will host their annual Hot August Nights Outdoor Dart Shoot on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Starting early at 12:30pm, they will kick things off with a Redeye Rhino Challenge, an opportunity to win tons of gear, plus entry into the Hot August Nights tournament later that day!
Cliff will be barbecuing on the patio, beside the beer garden all day. Jello Shots and drink specials provide aiming fluid for those competing for the 3-In-The-Black Pot, now at $204.00, or the High Out Pot that day.
Ray and Mary will kick off their first of two $500 Addeds, a Mixed Doubles shoot at 1:30pm, and later a Cricket Only at 7:30pm. Quick 8’s will be running all day long, so everybody will have a chance at winning something. Plus, you’re more than likely to walk away with an armful of manufacturer’s swag, just for showing up!
Come on out to Flights for Hot August Nights Saturday, August 13. The fun starts at 12:30pm, bring a friend and an appetite!
